CODE OF
CONDUCT
TCL Communication is willing to be a promoter of green practices and is always looking for improvement on every aspect of social responsibility for our employees, suppliers, customers, and partners. TCT built the following Code of Ethic with the aim to promote safe and fair working conditions, and to be responsible for environmental and social issues, and govern activities with our stakeholders, which include the suppliers, who must abide with our business ethic.

HUMAN RIGHTS
SA 8000 is an international standard based on the Code of Conduct affirmed by :
– International Labor Organization
– the Universal Declaration of Human Rights
– UN Convention on the Rights of a Child.
TCT complies with SA 8000. Our factory in China is audited each year by a third-party agency. We are certified since 2008.
OHSAS 18001 is an assessment Series for health and safety management systems. It is intended to help an organization to control occupational health and safety risk. TCT is certified OHSAS since 2008.

QUALITY
ISO 9001 is by far the world’s most established quality framework which sets the standard for quality management systems. TL 9000 is an unified set of quality system requirements and metrics designed specifically for the Telecommunications industry. TCT is certified ISO 9001 since 2014 for its whole organization, from R&D to After-sales. We are certified TL 9000 since 2014. For our customers, those certifications are guarantees that our organization has a strong quality system and procedures that provide the foundation to reliable products and services.

ISO 14001 is an international standard that helps our organization to identify aspects of our business that impact on the environment, and understand those environmental laws that are relevant to our situation. Through ISO 14001 certification, we work towards minimizing our impact on the environment and help preserve valuable resources.

HEALTH & HEALTH & SAFETY REGULATIONS
Our products comply with the local safety standards for every market we ship to. This includes CE for Europe, FCC for the US and CCC Mark for China. All products shipped by TCL Communication meet the RoHS requirement Directive and REACH Regulations.
RADIO FREQUENCY
Our mobile phones are tested for SAR (Specific Absorption Rate ) which is the standard defining exposure of the public by radio-frequencies emitted by mobile phones. TCL Communication’ products comply with the SAR limitation directive.
PRODUCT
RECYCLABILITY
85.5% of the materials used in our products are recyclable.
Alcatel partners with local recyclers at various locations.
In Europe, in compliance with the WEEE Directive, Battery Directive and Packaging Directive, TCL Communication has set up mechanisms for collecting obsolete handsets, postconsumer packaging and batteries.

CU boxes for products shipped to Europe contain 80% post-consumer fibre and are fully recyclable.
All paper packaging, including printed user manuals, are made of fibre from Forest Stewardship Council FSC certified sources.
